MIDDLE EAST (GULF) WAR EFFECTS

Introduction:

The Gulf War which took place between 2 August 1990 and 28 February 1991 was a battle which was carried out between coalition force from 35 nations which is authorized by United Nations and United States and the Iraq. The purpose of this war was to release Kuwait. January 1991 was the beginning of the intervention of international armed.

Middle East (Gulf) War effects:

The war was won by the coalition forces. The coalition forces had to suffer a lot during this war. At the end the Iraqi forces went out of Kuwait. There was a minimum coalition death. It was a war which took place in the Air as well as on the ground in the surrounding areas of Kuwait, bordering areas of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Iraq had also used Missiles in the war. The war which took place between Iran-Iraq in the year 1980 to 1988 was  known as “Gulf War”. There are many news sources according to whom, 1991 war is called as Second Gulf War or Persian Gulf War. The air and land operations were named as “Operation Desert Storm”. The study reveals that Gulf war had severe effect on the human life and the property. It causes heavy damages. The uranium which was used in the war effected badly. It increased the chances of temporary kidney damage due to the chemical toxicity of the uranium and also a chance of lung cancer. The civilians suffered due to this.  Many civilians had reported the availability of the concentration of uranium in the kidney. Animals and other living things also suffered during the war. They caused damages in various parts such as effects in reproductive parts and disease like cancer.
